Beberapa hari yang lalu, aku sedang melihat-lihat feed Pinterest dan aku menemukan ada satu gambar quotes yang isinya: "You are your most self when you are living your calling." Jujur selama kehidupan ku yang penuh tanda tanya dan penolakan, aku tidak pernah merasa menjadi Emma yang seutuh nya. And that is true.
You know, Anak Pendeta will never sound good in my ear. NEVER. I guess that is what Jesus experience during His time on earth. Keluar dari segala kemuliaan Nya, He controls Himself, downgrading almost most of who He is, just to show us an example on how to love the Lord, and how to be His child. Aku rasa dia pasti mengalami momen-momen dimana rasa nya Ia ingin kembali ke asalNya dan memberi kita keselamatan begitu saja. But He didn't. He know what He is called for & He knows that in order for the Lord's purpose being done, He needs to live His calling.
Aku rasa kita juga seperti itu. Apapun panggilan dan identitas kita. Apakah kita si famous, atau si pintar, si pengusaha maupun si anak pendeta, who we are is God's tool to accomplish His purpose through us. Dan aku percaya setiap kali kita memahami dan menjalani identitas kita dengan sepenuh hati, hati kita akan menjadi penuh.
I've come to a point in my life when I can see that who I am, is bringing God's glory to where I am. Actually it doesn't matter to me of who I am, or what title I carry. But through those identities and titles, God's heart are manifested. It's never a simple life to be the Pastor's daughter, much given much taken. But I am continually learning that it is not about me. It never be and never will. But it is an honor to be placed by God in this position, because I know that He had things to be done through my life if I would just obey.
So what's your story? Who are you?
Do you understand of why God placed you where you are?
Are you full of confidence that He gave you the perfect life?
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?
Esther 4:14
Wow, great blog! I read few of your articles and seems you've been struggling with insecurity for quite a long time. Looking forward for your next writings. Really inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever hear " Cognitive Dissonance."? You are right in the center of it. The life filled with decisions and your decisions create dissonance. You are nearly having a perfect fake life now.
ReplyDeleteWhat is my story? Are you serious? Do you really believe that you care about others besides yourself? It didn't show in your written expression. Do you think God is simply giving you a perfect life without any effort? Do you know there are Laws of Nature, like 'the sow and the reap'? Get some reality check.
Hmmm... You got a point there, a bit rude for someone who tried to proof an opinion, though.
DeleteHer view point might seems too narrow, but yours aren't that bright either.
Human mind can be pretty complex sometimes, it could overheated it self by absorbing lots of usless information that can even harm psychologically. There's where religions comes in. Religions exitst for centuries because people (especially the weak minded) needs it. And thus a phenomenon called "cognitive dissonance" happens.
The second point. Her writtings are merely want to share about her "journey to self discovery". Of course it filled with her personal experience and only about her. Think, if her page full of story her helping people, drama about this fellow poor homeless in the streets, then she gave him a great sum of money, boo hoo, yay, etc. Would she look like someone who just beg for attention? The image become much worst than just "not caring about other people", a heretic perhaps.
Yes, god doesn't simply give this lowly being a perfect life and life is full of decisions. But there's something you miss... Potential. Potential, my friend, doesn't always comes good. Here's an example, there's a boy, his father is a smoker and a drinker, his mother is a smoker, his friends majorly smokers, drink, drug users and douchebags. So much potential to had a bad boy persona. Yet he stay clean onto this moment just because he doesn't like that kind of stuff. And thus the decision is made.
So, lastly. What if her father wasn't a pastor? What potentially could happen to her?
If you care about others than she does, reconsider what you said some other time. Because someone might lose life. To put it simple, you're cyber bullying
Here we are, another smarty pants in the circle.
ReplyDeleteThe truth may sound rude for a phony, but fake is disrespectful. Religion is domination, and never reform humankind from day one. Thus, cognitive dissonance is a complete circumscribed circle of potential.
What if her father is a fake pastor, and she is the by-product of it. Most likely.
If you can't handle comments in the cyber world, do yourself a favor, get a Moleskine, start writing, fix your grammar and stop doodling.
Well, sorry if i look like a mirror to you, sir.
DeleteIf you really obsessed with the truth so much, so tell me what truth you had discovered? (Don't tell me you're one of those flat earthers, seriously).
If you really that intellectual, you wouldn't bark like a dog in the cyber world where it was such a waste of time and energy just to write an aggressive comments on strangers. Your tough guy act on the cyber world made me wondering on how you actually handle your pitiful life full of complaints saying "why my life is so miserable"
