Gue lagi baca buku yang, menurut gue, sangat bagus dengan tittle yang sangat deceiving. 

When God Writes Your Love Story

This book was actually meant for my sister. But because dia bacanya pas lagi free aja (lagi sok sibuk belajar final test soalnya), so gue ambil inisiatif buat baca deh. Awalnya agak bikin tekad ciut banget liat judul nya. Karena, jujur, gue gak begitu suka sama buku-buku beginian. 

Tapi setelah gue baca halaman demi halaman, chapter demi chapter, I realized kalo selama ini pintu love-life gue kurang dibuka lebar. Kalau hidup ini buku, Tuhan mau jadi penulis nya. Jadi bukan cuma chapter (bahkan halaman) tertentu aja, tapi EVERY SINGLE DETAILS. Kenapa rakus gitu? Ya, soalnya Tuhan memang Tuhan yang rakus. In a good way :P 

Gini analogi nya. If we were married, gue gak cuma mau stengah dari kehidupan lo tapi seluruh kehidupan lo.

Tuhan gak cuma mau 1/4 dari pintu-pintu kehidupan kita, tapi seisi kapal kehidupan kita. 

Honestly when I came up to this point, I was a little bit haunted about this.

If God really taking over my life, my romance life to be exact, what if God wants me to be single the rest of my life? Trus gue akan hidup dengan kucing-kucing berkeliaran di apartemen gue sama nanti ubanan trus akhirnya mati. GUE GAK MAU T_T

Anyways...

Eric and Leslie Ludy (pengarang buku ini) adalah, yang bisa gue bilang, pahlawan-pahlawan cinta. Kenapa gak? Eric dari suka pacarin cewek just because they're hot, Leslie yang tadinya adalah woman of no commitments (jadi suka gantungin pacar-pacar nya), mereka berdua jadi fully commited sama Tuhan sampe akhirnya mereka ketemu dan menikah :")

Gue dari kemaren sampe hari ini masuk bab yang mempelajari how to love your spouse even before you ever met. 

Mati aja kaku kayak kanebo kering. 

Gimana cara nya gue fall in love sama cowok yang akan jadi suami gue dan itu masih bertaun-taun lagi marriednya. Belom tentu juga sekarang gue kenal. Menurut gue, this is just sick. Itu gak lebih freak dari cewek-cewek yang ngaku-ngaku pacar nya Harry Styles. No offense. Styles are attractive. 

But then gue tetep baca. Gue baca terus sampe masuk topik Beyond technical virginity. 

Boom! Gue tersentak.

Kita selama ini diajarin hanya untuk menjaga keperawanan/keperjakaan secara fisik. But do you ever think about virginity emotionally?

Leslie ngomong gini di bukunya "It wasn't just trying to technically stay virgin until marriage. Rather purity is a lifestyle. It meant living to love and honor my future husband all the days of my life---with my thoughts, my actions, my words, my emotions, and my body."

Kita gak sadar, walaupun kita gak kasih fisik kita ke cowok/cewek itu, tapi kita kasih hati kita, emosi kita, waktu kita, pikiran kita.

Boom! Kan kena lagi. 

Gue disadarin BANYAK hal dari buku ini.

Satu, love takes time, so wait. 

Pikir simple aja sih. Gue mau nanti the guy whom I would spent the rest of my life with, adalah cowok yang gak ngerti kata nunggu, pacaran sana-sini, or yang mengkhususkan diri nya, untuk....gue? :"") 

Dua, while waiting, focus on God.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you -Matthew 6:33-

Menurut gue gini sih. Kalau gue fokus sama Tuhan, untuk menjaga purity is going to be a piece of cake. Cookie malah! Dan kalaupun nanti gue udah ketemu my other half, gue percaya fokus dia juga sama Tuhan. And then both of our main focus would be towards God. Isn't it amazing? :D

And last and definitely not least, purity is beautiful.

Having high standards is beautiful. Gue pernah ngobrol sama temen gue (cowok) dan dia bilang gini,

Gue sih gak mau cuma sekedar cewek kalau jadi istri, tapi lady. The one who not just turned my head, but the one who also turned my heart

I personally don't like to read Songs Of Songs (Kidung Agung) in the Bible. 

Bagi yang gak tau, itu kitab yang beirsi tentang nyanyian-nyanyian seorang groom untuk bride nya.

Ayat-ayat nya romantis banget. Sangking romantis nya sampe agak sedikit.....ya gitu.....menurut gue loh yah! *lirik kanan kiri* hehehehe 

But this book is actually about God (as the groom) confessing His love to us, as His bride. 

It's actually really, really romantic and lovely. <3

Dan ternyata gak cuma soal confessing love, tapi juga ada pesan untuk kita tentang purity.

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love UNTIL THE TIME IS RIGHT.

And so, I mark this day, September 28th 2012 as the day I truly and openly committed my purity and my love-life to God. :)

FIUH! Akhirnya selesai juga nulisnya huehehe. 

There's still A LOT that I want to share about purity. 

I might be making many post on this area.

I somehow really like this topic.
